Genesis Breyer P-Orridge (22 February 1950 – 14 March 2020) was an English singer-songwriter, musician, poet, performance artist, and occultist. They (singular) rose to notability as the founder of the COUM Transmissions artistic collective and lead vocalist of seminal industrial band Throbbing Gristle. P-Orridge was also a founding member of Thee Temple ov Psychick Youth occult group, and fronted the experimental band Psychic TV. P-Orridge preferred gender-neutral pronouns when being described.

 In 2003 Genesis P-Orridge changed identity to Genesis Breyer P-Orridge (aka Genesis/Djin Breyer P-Orridge) along with life partner Lady Jaye Breyer P-Orridge (a.k.a. Mother Jack/Miss Jackie).

S/he began a performance series called Breaking Sex that was initiated by both he/herself and Lady J. Breyer. This project was about reunion and resolution of male and female to a perfecting hermaphroditic state, named Pandrogeny by Genesis Breyer P-Orridge. The project included having surgeries that blur the lines between their sexes, bringing them nearer to being one physically. S/he also relaunched Psychic TV as PTV3 in 2003. Died on March 14, 2020.
